Earth sheltered buildings
As part of the multi award winning development of Mile End Park, led by Jon Aldenton, we created the UK's first public earth sheltered buildings.
Three pavilions are heated and cooled by air drawn underground. The shops under the Green Bridge include four restaurants and a supermarket; 60% of the park's annual running costs come from rents generated by these assets.
